At Wild Mountain, we strive to run our organization in alignment with our values. For this reason, we have moved away from a fee-for-service or capitalistic model and are offering contribution-based or sliding-scale programs.

Just as humans are not separate from nature, we are also not separate from each other. Your wellness is interconnected to ours - the amount you invest in this experience directly contributes to the vitality of our organization and community.

As you reflect on what you can give, please consider the value of your experience and the individual time given by each guide. Please also keep in mind our operating costs, the resources provided, and your relationship and commitment to our community.

If you…

  • want to support a cultural shift in leadership and representation of Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous and People of Color in nature-based work -and-

  • have access to abundant family resources and/or inherited wealth -or-

  • own one or more properties -or-

  • have investments or trust funds -or-

  • practice philanthropy -or-

  • have significant resources to spend on travel, recreational activities, or lodging

  • are committed to adequate pay for our guide teams and the foundation of Wild Mountain -and-

  • are employed full-time, or by choice work part-time or are unemployed -or-

  • have a savings or a retirement fund

Give Modestly

If you…

  • deeply value our offerings and community -and-

  • sometimes struggle to meet essential needs -or-

  • have unstable housing and/or limited access to reliable transportation -or-

  • cannot take a vacation or time off due to financial burden -or-

  • Write 5-10 family / friends / community members and invite them to donate to Wild Mountain on your behalf

  • Sustainable giving: donate a smaller amount monthly 

  • Contact us in advance about participating in our community work weekend at Wild Mountain, activities include: road work, painting, construction projects, maintenance, etc. 

  • Send an email to us letting us know specifically how and when you plan to make a significant commitment to your community to pay this work forward
