Fall Community Work Weekeend

fall community work weekend

As summer fades and the mountain prepares for its winter rest, we come together once more to care for the land that holds us. This is an invitation to give back to Wild Mountain through your time, energy, and skill, and to experience what reciprocity looks like in practice.

At Wild Mountain, we believe that what we offer the land and each other returns to us. The work weekend is one of the most direct ways to live that out. When you show up with your hands, your skills, and your presence, you help make this place possible for everyone who follows.

This weekend is open to anyone who wants to show up for this community. Whether you bring a specific craft or simply a willingness to dig in, there is a place for you here. More details on this year’s projects will be shared closer to the date.

What to know before you come:

  • Wild Mountain sits at 9,500' in the Rocky Mountains. Fall weather can be crisp, cool, and unpredictable. Expect golden aspens by day and cold nights, so please bring warm layers.

  • Bring your own camping gear and food for the weekend. We will provide dinners.

  • Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Wild Mountain is located near Buena Vista in central Colorado. There is a once-daily bus from Denver to Buena Vista if you need it (please contact us to arrange pickup).

  • No experience necessary. Just your presence and your heart.
