Spring Community Work Weekend
Before the summer season opens, we gather to tend the land that holds us. This is an invitation to give back to Wild Mountain through your time, energy, and skill, and to experience firsthand what reciprocity looks like in practice.
At Wild Mountain, we believe that what we give to the land and to each other comes back to us. The work weekend is one of the most tangible ways to live that out. By showing up with your hands, your skills, and your presence, you become part of what makes this place possible for everyone who comes after you.
This weekend is open to anyone who wants to show up for this community. Whether you come with a specific craft or simply a willingness to dig in, there is a place for you here. Past projects have included snow fence repair, gutter work, painting, road and trail work, carpentry, and general land maintenance.
What to know before you come:
Wild Mountain sits at 9,500' in the Rocky Mountains. May weather can be cold, snowy, and sunny all in one day. Please come prepared for the elements with warm layers and cold weather camping gear.
Bring your own camping gear and food for the weekend. We will provide dinners.
Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Wild Mountain is located near Buena Vista in central Colorado. There is a once daily bus from Denver to Buena Vista if you need it (please contact us to arrange pick up).
No experience necessary. Just your presence and your heart.
Space is limited to 10 people per night — sign up early to secure your spot.
